Saying Good-bye to Verizon Was the Best Experience I've Ever Had With Verizon
I just got out of a bad relationship, a relationship with my wireless company. For seven or so years, I let Verizon Wireless beat the shit out of me, and yet I kept coming back. Even after I walked out, I still couldn't just let go.
We had some good memories together, I think, though off hand, I can't recall any. I'm sure there were reasons I stuck around. Sure, I'd say to myself, Verizon has some really great wireless coverage...
The reasons for leaving seem so clear now that its all over. Like the lies. First you would tell me one thing, Verizon, then I'd call you up and you would tell me something else. Liar!
Not to mention you took my money and ran with it. First you wanted five cents for text messages, then ten. Now its twenty cents? Really?
Well its finished now. We're done Verizon. There is no me and you anymore. I've moved on.
Canceling was not nearly as difficult as I expected. Sure, I suffered through seven minutes of automated dialing menus. And I had to speak to TWO call center people. But I've been promised we're finished, officially done.
Good-bye Verizon. Perhaps we'll meet again when you've matured. I won't say anything too cliched; its not me, it was definitely you.
